What is Body Scan meditation?
It's a practice where you systematically move your attention through different parts of your body — from your toes to your head — noticing sensations without judgment. You breathe into each area and consciously release tension.
Who is this for?
  • Anyone struggling with sleep — perfect for bedtime.
  • People with chronic tension — releases physical stress.
  • Those with anxiety — calms the nervous system.
  • Beginners — accessible and deeply soothing.
  • Busy people — 15‑30 minutes of deep restoration.
How do I practice the Body Scan?
  1. Lie down or sit comfortably.
  2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
  3. Bring your attention to your toes — notice any sensations.
  4. Breathe into them and consciously relax.
  5. Slowly move up — feet, legs, hips, belly, chest, hands, arms, shoulders, neck, face, head.
  6. When your mind wanders, gently return to where you left off.
  7. Feel your entire body relaxed and peaceful.
When is the best time to practice?
Body scan is ideal for bedtime — it prepares your body and mind for sleep. It's also effective during the day if you need to release tension, or before any activity where you want to feel grounded and relaxed.
What if I fall asleep during the practice?
That's wonderful! Falling asleep during a body scan is a sign that your body is deeply relaxed and ready for rest. It's completely okay — you're giving your body exactly what it needs.
